Eric M. Hylton Selected to 2025 Class of Indianapolis Bar Foundation Distinguished Fellows

IndyBar’s Annual Attorney Recognition Program Includes RBE Partner

Riley Bennett Egloff LLP (RBE) is proud to announce that attorney Eric M. Hylton has been named to the Indianapolis Bar Foundation’s 2025 class of Distinguished Fellows, a distinction given annually to select attorneys recognized for their exceptional dedication, service, and leadership within the legal profession and the broader Indianapolis community.

IndyBar’s Distinguished Fellows program honors lawyers who have demonstrated a long record of service, exemplary professional standing, and a significant commitment to advancing justice and positive change throughout the greater Indianapolis area. Fewer than five percent of all practicing Indianapolis Bar Association members are invited to become Fellows, making this among Indianapolis’ most notable professional recognitions.

Reflecting on his selection, Eric stated: “It is an honor to be named as a Distinguished Fellow by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. I strongly support the Foundation’s mission of service, advancing justice, and leading positive change. I will continue to support these initiatives in Indianapolis and beyond.”

Eric concentrates his practice at Riley Bennett Egloff on labor and employment law, advising public and private employers as well as employees across Indiana on matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, workplace policies, employment agreements, and collective bargaining. Eric has established a reputation for thoughtful client advocacy, particularly in representing teachers and educational professionals before state and federal courts, the EEOC, and the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board. He provides practical counsel regarding employee handbooks, compliance, and non-compete agreements, and is a frequent lecturer on Indiana education and labor issues. In addition to his selection as a Distinguished Fellow, Eric was recently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for the third time (2016, 2023, and 2026) as ‘Lawyer of the Year’ in the Indianapolis metro area for his work in Education Law.

Outside of his legal practice, Eric is deeply engaged in both professional and community service. He recently completed serving eight years on the school board for Brownsburg Community Schools. Eric volunteers for initiatives supporting access to justice and legal education, and is committed to mentoring the next generation of Indiana attorneys while advancing equity and opportunity within the legal profession.

The Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) is the philanthropic arm of the Indianapolis Bar Association, funding innovative pro bono, civic education, and legal support programs for underserved populations. Distinguished Fellows, selected annually, play a pivotal role in ensuring justice for all in Indianapolis by supporting these mission-driven efforts.
